Moody Insurance presented a $107,091 check on Aug. 26 to Judi’s House, a grief support center for children and families in the Denver area. The funds were raised at Moody’s 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, bringing the total raised over the last five years for Judi’s House to more than $397,000.

“Judi’s House provides life-changing support when children and their families need it the most, after the loss of a loved one,” said Moody Insurance Chief Operating Officer Troy Moody. “Thanks to our sponsors, supporters, and golfers, we are able to support the efforts of an organization that does so much for our community.”

At the tournament on July 20, Judi’s House founder, former Denver Broncos quarterback Brian Griese, welcomed the crowd of golfers to the sold-out event, held at Evergreen’s Hiwan Country Club. All donations from supporters, sponsors and golfers will go towards supporting Judi’s House’s latest initiative, the JAG Institute, named in memory of Judith Ann Griese. The Institute will house research, training and technology initiatives that will allow Judi’s House to expand their direct service capacity locally, and help others provide more effective grief support programs in communities beyond the Denver Metro Area.

Griese founded Judi’s House in 2002 in honor and in memory of his mother, who died when he was just 12 years old. The organization’s mission is to help children and families grieving a death find connection and healing. Judi’s House and Moody Insurance have partnered for the past five years, together raising over $397,000 to support grieving children and families in the Denver area.
